GAVIN RYAN

director

Gavin comes from regional Victoria and moved to Melbourne to study at Monash University. He has previously worked in running his family business, then after gaining his degree, went on to work and volunteer in a variety of roles both in Australia and overseas. Gavin has worked in higher education, private enterprise and government, working for Victorian Government ministers and senators. His work has included stints at the Victorian Electoral Commission on state elections as well as being an election monitor overseas. This work lead to Gavin authoring the ‘Guide to the Political Parties and Groupings of Timor-Leste’ in 2007. After combining the challenges of working as a private consultant and a stay at home father, Gavin took the next step and set up the OGL Group, relishing the ability to take on larger clients whilst still servicing his traditional clients. This also marked a point where he could take on more election work along with his volunteer work conducting ballots for various community and member-based organisations. As an OGL Director, Gavin has been returning officer for a wide range of corporate and not-for-profit elections since 2009.

JESSICA FOX

Election Manager & Returning Officer

Born and raised in Central Queensland, Jessica received a Bachelor of Arts from Central Queensland University before moving to Melbourne to pursue a career in teaching and communications. Her early career was spent working for herself as a voice and communication teacher where she honed her presentation and interpersonal skills. Following this, she completed a number of years in the financial services sector, using her project management and communications skills to develop and execute sales campaigns for the most well-known corporate brands in Australia. Jessica has worked on managing ballots for state and federal government elections, in addition to managing elections for many of the largest non-government community organisations and industry groups. In 2023, she managed the First Peoples Assembly of Victoria state-wide election, an election with over 60 polling places across Victoria, including requiring voting within all of Victoria’s jails to guarantee voting access for incarcerated indigenous people. In a highly scrutinised ballot with continuous media coverage and community interest, she ensured integrity and compliance across throughout all steps of the election. Jessica has taken on all our significant roles and responsibilities in election management and now works managing our election services across Australia.
